encodevideo

encodevideo.sh

encodevideo.sh is a script for compressing videos from single frames into a video files of different formats. For help call

encodevideo.sh
USAGE: /use/local/bin/encodevideo.sh: BaseName [Target]
        Example: encodevideo.sh frame_00 SuperVideo

Go into the directory where the frames reside and call the script as given in the example. You need to have ffmpeg or avconv (ffmpeg-fork: debian package: libav-tools), and libx264 installed. You get a .mp4 file with mpeg4 encoding and .flv with flash encoding are generated and a jpg with scene after 1 sec.

The script also copies the source code (cpp and h files) and the log-files into a separate directory which is then bzipped at the end. In this way you can later reproduce the video.
